Wait listed--how should I take this?

I just found out today that I have been wait listed for the Spring(2007) at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. I feel somewhat excited, but honestly I don't know how to feel?!!?!? I also feel somewhat discouraged because I am not sure if there will be a spot for me. I didn't have a waitlist number,but I called the school anyway(hadn't heard back). The letter said we could be notified as late as January 8, 2007. So my question is has anyone here ever been wait listed and actually got in? Is there a number of people who declince acceptance? Let me know....

wait listed is not always a good thing unless you have a wait listed number between 1-5. I was waitlisted at CPCC ADN AND QUEENS but didn't get in and now I am considering schooling out of charlotte because of overpopulation and limited schools.

Have you tried--Cabarrus College of Health Sciences?

I have a gf who got in wl there-she loves it- take any undone ge ed (nutrition,psychology,ect)classes now thho- you have to stay in their system once admitined- classes are much more expensive!

I am in cpcc's adn program now- was waitlisted 2 consec semesters- 1st #13 then got in with #15-the last person they pulled.... they are redoing admission criteria now-yercy, you should retry!

See, this is what I have been wondering about Charlotte...which other city have you been considering?

I'm trying to choose between Charlotte, Columbia or Augusta.

Well there are lots of cities that has the program.

1-James Sprunt comm college

2-Carteret comm college

3-Capefear comm college in Wilmington NC (Nice city)

4-Sandhills comm college

But I have concluded that I will move to Connecticut (up north) by August if Queens put me on waiting list again for fall 08.I am expecting a notification letter by ending of this month(march).

But the test they had just introdued now might be a liitle pain to go through all that stress. We will see.Thanks though.
