Two more weeks....

U.S.A. North Carolina

two more weeks until my fiance and i move to nc. time is really going by fast now. i think i have the majority of my ducks in a row as far as everything needed from here to start down there. i got my offical offer letter from pcmh in the mail saturday. now it feels real, that i actually do have a job after looking for so long.

so very soon, i'll be a resident of nc. but i hate to hurt feelings though, this gal will always bleed ky blue :paw::D i just hope i can watch some of the football games on fsn south.

now, to find a hotel to stay in. we won't be able to look for a place to live until we get down there :sniff: so it will be me, my cat, my fiance, and his dog in a hotel room until we find a place to rent. though my fiance keeps out hope that we can still buy a place. i seriously doubt it though.

One of the problems we've been having is our pets. Our dog Emmi is a spitz and weighs approx 35-40 lbs. Well, that's higher than the majority of rental properties weight limit. Which is why we are desparately trying to find a rent to own house, not just a rental house because even those have pet restrictions. Somehow paying upwards of $600+ per month plus the $400 most places want for our pets ($200-250 per pet), plus $50 per month pet rent, not including the security deposit and first months rent. Neither of us are going to consider giving up our furkids, so we just have to find a place that won't ding us so badly on the pet fees. Amazingly the cheaper places are more stringent on the size of pets :( We were hoping to not have to pay a whole heck of a lot in rent simply as a precaution, looks like that's not going to happen.

Hmmm....I rented from Wainright (Hampton Creek) and had no problems. The place was clean and bright. I had a late payment once due to miscommunication with the fiance and they didn't charge me for it. We recently had to sublease it and they were extremely helpful. I really thought they were great IMHO!

Oh ya, and my friend lived at Holly Glen which was also nice, and she had no issues with mgt.

Hampton Creek wasn't there when i was a student at ECU. But from wrainright's website they look nice

welcome to NC.i hope u gannna luv this beautiful state.

Thanks. So far so good. I know this isn't known as a NC dish, but I am soooo wanting shrimp and grits. I guess I'll have to make my own LOL.
