Charlotte Wannabe nurse....need advice!

Can any current nurses/students help me with what my next step should be? I am currently a student at CPCC in Charlotte, NC. I didn't get in the fall nursing program :(. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa, so I don't understand why my grades aren't getting me in. I'm not getting any younger! A new school is in Charlotte now but its expensive. I need advice. Do I just shoot for the high price school???

Don't limit yourself to CPCC, there are tons of other community colleges in the area. Gaston College, Stanly, SPCC, Rowan Cabarrus and others. You may have to drive a little further but you'll save money in the long run.

Thank you for your response lovelivelife21! I have been at CPCC for 2 years and all the colleges I have looked into require a lockstep in their nursing program. I have decided to transfer to a university because I don't want to go to school for 4+ years for an associates degree.

My issue now is should I just go to ECPI or still play the waiting game with the other local universities. What do you think?

I totally understand your predicament. It really depends on if you're looking to save time or money. The community college route is always cheaper. That's the route I took. I live in Charlotte and drive to Winston Salem to attend Forsyth Tech. I thought about ECPI and Queens but I've accumulated student loans from previous schooling. What universities are you looking at?
