BSN program at UNCW

U.S.A. North Carolina

I just finished graduating from an associates in science program at Mount Olive College. Did the CNA program while in high school (almost ten years ago; I'm 25), but let it expire. Read on the school's newsletter site that the CNA requirement will be deleted for the 2011 class, so I don't have to take that all over. The only pre-requisites that I'm missing are statistics and microbiology. Have straight A's in Chemistry, Biology, and A&P. I haven't taken the HESI yet, as I have not been accepted into the university, but I am definitely preparing for it. I know that I have to finish my required classes before I can even apply to the nursing program, but I would like to "talk" to others who have attended/are currently attending the SON at UNC-W. Would love to find a few people around the area to start a study group with if anyone is interested. Of course, I'd definitely be interested in making a study group with CFCC students as well (I just mentioned UNC-W because that's where I plan to attend and I think the program is a little bit different). Like most others on this site, I'm trying to prepare for the HESI and would certainly appreciate any information in regards to that most dreaded of all exams (besides the NCLEX, of course).

sealford - I am applying for the RN-BSN program at UNCW. I will graduate in May, but I live in NY so if I land a job here I will be doing it all online. Did you find a job in the Wilmington area? I'm planning to apply here and in NC in a few months but I've heard awful things about the job market there. Have you had any luck?!
