Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

I'm currently living in va. Thinking about moving to nc . I have two questions for anyone that can answer. First, what is the license transfer process.

Second, I have done some research and found classes to become a CNA ll. Do they get paid more than CNA level 1 and if so how much of a differencr.?

Thanks Erich

From what I've read, NC doesn't recognize other states for the CNA. The North Carolina Board of Nursing website has a bunch of information about certifications and the CNA 1 description vs the CNA 2. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Unfortunately, as the PP said, NC doesn't transfer CNA license. You will have to take the CNA test to be licensed in NC.

CNA 2 get pay around $1 to $2 more per hour than CNA 1. It always depends of the facility. I started working in a hospital at $11.26/hr as CNA 1 then when I became CNA 2 a got $1 more per hour. There is no much of a difference in the salary but as a new CNA 2 that's what it is. I was told than after a year of working as CNA 2 I'll get pay more.
