Anyone out there who has knowledge about Norridge Healthcare & Rehab Center in West Cullom Avenue, Norridge?

Anyone know anything about this place? I am thinking about doing my CNA training there. What do you think? Any info is greatly appreciated!

I interviewed there once. The facility is nice and they were rehabbibg it for an addition(years ago)..It was cleaner than other nursing homes. The staff that interviewed me were very nice and they were very interested in making sure that I was the right fit for the place, they did an on site drug test and they hired me on the spot, but I never took the job because I got another offer the same day.Just by my instincts I think that it is a good place....at least as far as being a place that really cares about the people who live there...they also had nice benefits....hope my liitle bit of info helps....

Were you already a CNA when you applied there? I've heard they have a CNA training program there where you learn while on the job and start getting paid after 2 weeks of training. Anyone know anything about this? Can I apply there if I'm not currently a CNA?

I applied a few months ago for their CNA program and never heard anything back from them. I did not follow up because there is a slip of paper stapled to the top of the application that states in big, bold letters "Do not call us to ask about the status of your application. We will call you."

The application seemed pretty straightforward, but it did not give the specifics of the program.

It does state, don't call us, we'll call you. However, you can reapply. They get a lot of applications as there are very few free places for training esp. with a job in the chicagoland area.

Norridge has a voice recorded message about the CNA progam once you call the facility. It sucks because the recording just tells you to come and fill the application.

Once I was there, I wanted to ask the receptionist about the program but she just told me to fill-out the application and that they 'will call me' if selected for an interview. (..with an attitude... sob...)

Since they don't want you to call them to ask about the CNA program, (saids not to call on the paper flap stapled on top of the application) it remains a mystery whether they lost/tossed out my application or if they've selected their students by now...

I wish they'll give you information on when applicants should anticipate rejection of acceptance into the program.

Applying at Norridge: Make sure your appearance is neat. Have your own pen to write with. Be pleasant and helpful to the residents, ie. open the door for them, say hello, etc. Smile and have a good attitude. The receptionist will be observing you. The program is funded by Norridge- you work for them while receiving your training. If you are selected for an interview, business attire is required and DO NOT BE LATE!!!!! CNA programs are very expensive. If you are fortunate to be selected for this program you are very, very lucky!
