I live in Texas. Years ago, a nurse friend of mine was terminated for stealing a course of antibiotics that were supposed to be dispensed to a patient. She went before the board and admitted what she did. They told her she had to take a nursing ethics class and also placed her on probation for a year. She didn't have an attorney. Years later, the disciplinary action is no longer on her license record. She continued to work the entire time throughout her probation.
I don't know how things will work out for you, but this is just something that happened to my friend. Best of luck.
