Are there any schools in California that are not competitive and don't have a saturated waiting list?

Admittance to most community colleges are lottery based, all you have to do is meet the minimum requirement for consideration. For profit schools also have no wait list as they want your money now.

Everest College is out of commission as of last week. As a matter of fact, it was reported today that Corinthian has filed for bankruptcy after closing the last of its campuses and a group of its former students have organized a class action lawsuit. So scratch that one off the list!

Sure, there are plenty of sketchy-as-h*ll for-profit schools that are ready and willing to take your money.
Go for it, and godspeed.
