No pre employment drug screen?

Published

i went to Concentra for my pre-employment physical. Every nursing job I've had has done a drug screen, not this one.

It's a good thing, because I freaked out because like an idiot I took a left over percocet I had from a pulled tooth because I was having severe back pain the night before.

I just though it was strange that they didn't give one, but hey, I'm not complaining!

My main point is: People are often surprised that drug screens miss stuff when they do take one because the actual screen picks up only certain metabolites, but, then again that opens up for the false positives that occur, . . .

Like diabetics spilling sugar into their urine, the sugar ferments into ETOH, and bang, positive urine!

I know I got off topic, forgive me, bored! I am full of useless info. (It just amazes me that facilities that do test are missing several other potential abused drugs). So, even if they DO test, you are only being tested usually on a handful of drugs.
