WOO HOO!! I have decide to apply to a different nursing school, and that means no more pre-reqs. This is a school I thought I would never get into because they required SAT scores. Since I have a GED and never took the SATs I thought it was out of reach. But now they have changed things up, and to my benfit.:yeah:So I can take the micro bio, and the psy classes I have left once in nursing school. Here is what they require. BTW this is a hospital diploma program.
Rank in the upper one-third of his/her high school graduating class or have a grade point average of 2.5 or better
Have 12 academic credits. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed four units of English, two units of mathematics, two units of social studies, biology, chemistry, and electives. Algebra I must have been completed with a grade of "C" or better.
Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT I: Reasoning Test) composite score of 900 or above is preferred. The composite score is based on Critical Reading and Math scores OR
Satisfactory scores on the Central Virginia Community College placement test*
Algebra 36
Reading Skills 81
Writing Skills 76 or 6
*Placement test scores may be waived if the applicant has completed courses in English and Math (as determined by Central Virginia Community College) with a grade of "C" or better
