No luck in the ADN lottery......again

Published

Just heard from Evergreen Valley ADN that I wasn't selected. This makes five lotteries that I have not been selected, at four schools. I'm beginning to think all this work was for nothing. I still have one more possibility for this fall that I won't hear back on until April, but I have no reason to believe I will have any more luck there. The only certainty I have is the Cabrillo waitlist that I'm on, but it's moving very slowly.

Seriously thinking about giving up at this point. :crying2::crying2:

I'm sorry, dear.

This is exactly why i packed my bags and left the bay area. colleges were way too impacted when it came to the nursing program.

have you thought about working on your transfers and just transferring to San Jose State for their BSN program? I've been told that that was an easier route than waiting around for the community colleges AND you'd get your BSN vs. ADN.

Keep your chin up. It's all going to happen in due time. Good luck.

Your nearby nursing programs do a lottery?? Not a wait list, not a point system? That is soooo unfair........

Don't give up! You'll get your chance soon.

For now, why don't you become a CNA? That way you can get experience, and get some money while you wait.

That is exactly why I am transferring from my community college to a four year school. I don't think the lottery system is fair at all. Someone with all C's could get in before me who has a 4.0. I am transferring to get my BSN who bases admission on grades and grades only.
