Nurses Career Support

Published

Is it me or is it hard to find employment? I graduated in May and I've been applying; Passed the boards in July.... still applying. This is in NY, and a few classmates I've spoken to has the same problem. I don't think there's a position I haven't applied to. Im feeling defeated.

For those who have tried home health with no success, ask about extended care rather than intermittent visit work.  Employers are more inclined to hire a new grad without experience for extended care than for visits.  You can be trained to an easy case, and then progress to more complex cases, and as said before, at least you are racking up nursing experience at nursing pay.
