Hey, I'm reapplying to a school that I got accepted into the Fall 2017 program but had to drop for personal reasons. Now I can go back in and I don't know whether or not I should retake my TEAS for a better shot at getting in. I'm scared to death that I won't make it and it will delay my BSN further. I don't know what I'd tell my parents if I had to wait another year.
I have a 3.9 GPA with a 4.0 science GPA. My TEAS score was 89% and I'm transferring to this school from a CC. So I'm not exactly their first pick compared to their own students competing for the program.
So, should I retake the TEAS in an attempt to get a 90+? Will this boost be worth the extra $100 and assure my acceptance?
What do you think? Please help me out. I'm super worried.

What is a good TEAS score depends entirely on the program. You should see if there is information on the TEAS scores of those accepted into the program. There might be some threads here of people who were applying in the years before. They usually post their stats.
Most likely, that's a good score for that program. However, we can't know that for sure.

Yeah. I'm thinking I may have to retake it because I just spoke to the counselor and he's informed me the program has become even more competitive. Instead of only 100 admitted it is now 80.

I don't know about your school, but where I'm from a score above 85% on the teas 6 and a GPA above 3.8 is freaking awesome.

Most places don't require above a 75%. Somehow I got a 92% but with your GPA you should have no problem at all getting in. 89% is good especially compared to the national mean.

Some have requirements regarding entrance exams: can only take once a yr, only can take twice, or can not take exam within twice within 3 month span. I would inquire about their testing rules first. Otherwise, you have amazing stats!!
