Ok I have graduated from LPN school since June 09 but I took my Nclex and passed it Feb 2010 due to a waiting list in NY. Now I'm looking for a job in any facility hospital, Nursing home but I don't have any luck of course due to my lack of experience I'd say. I'm contemplating doing homecare at night and still look for day jobs also I was told to make sure I get malpractice insurance. I have several questions:
1- Does anyone know of any locations in NY that are hiring non experienced LPN?
2- Is working in home care a strategic move for me right now?
3- Any advice on how to go about my search for jobs, any websites or facilities you know hiring, Any advice at all?
Thank you,
Dailande LPN

Try Advanced Care Staffing or Competent Nursing. They are both agencies but I think they take new grads. Google them.
BEST OF LUCK!
I forgot to ask where you live. Both of these agencies are in Brooklyn, NY.

I live in NJ but license as an LPN nurse in NYS. Do you have a job now or still looking? Where do you live?

I live in Brooklyn and I work at a nursing home here. They are not hiring. Did you contact those two agencies?

Archcare is always hiring. Most nursing homes have a very high turnover rate. I graduated in January of 2010 and had three job offers before graduation!
Do you have their website? My husband really really need a job so bad. He got his NY license and got passed Nov 2010. He's been applying but none of the nursing homes or agencies accepting him because he got no experience. His step-mom is a supervisor but still the nursing home she's working doesnt accept him.
