hi!

Quick questions, thought someone might know. In your nicu follow up programs are they staffed by NNP or pediatric NP's? Looking to go for masters and would love to work in a follow-up program setting. Thanks!!!

Ours is run by both a neonatalogist and an NNP. I don't think you'll have a problem finding follow-up programs that staff NNPs - you might have trouble finding one with a job opening, though! If you want to work in NICU, you really need your NNP, not your PNP. Are you a nurse right now? If not, start by getting a job in a NICU or PICU/Peds, as you need a couple years experience in those units before getting your NP anyways. You can decide later on which one - plus you'll have your foot in the door at a hospital and may have a better chance of scoring an outpatient position later on.
