NNAS experience?

Published

Does anybody have any experience with NNAS? So far, I've read the site but it would be great to hear from people who have gone through the process :)

Answer of the following question by CNO

"Is the IENCAP designed to account for a Canadian nursing education equivalent entirely? Like if one has non-comparable on NNAS but gets 100% in IENCAP, is IENCAP considered proof of Cdn equivalent or does NNAS results cast a shadow over positive IENCAP results?"

Thanks @Tabss for keeping us posted on their response. I'm really interested in the response. Let's hope they respond soon.

I still don't have an IENCAP date yet. Do you?

I got an email from Touchstone to make an online account bit have mentioned that they don't have any dates as of now

If you look on Touchstone Institute ca under IENCAP you will see "Additional 2017 test dates will be announced in December 2016".

Also, "the fees will be changing beginning April 1, 2017. Test dates before March 31 2017 $400.00. Test dates after April 1 2017 $500.00."

Thanks! Once I get an IENCAP date I plan to sign up for the HealthForce Ontario workshop because I think it will be really beneficial.

You can register for the workshop before you have a IENCAP date, preference is given to those who have a date, but if there is room, they can accept those who don't have an IENCAP date. The more you know about preparing for the IENCAP/OSCE the better.

@dishes

Yeah, I tried, but they are full to the brim. I'm glad HealthForce gives preference to those with a date though--that's fair and makes the most sense.

I agree, the more prep the better! Especially since we only have one try and the consequences are quite dire if we do not pass.

Any further response Tabss?

CNO is supposed to respond in 48 hours, seems like they are taking forever to answer this question. I wonder if maybe they don't have an answer?

Dear RN_Pro

No...they haven't replied yet.It appears it's not a clear cut path that if you pass you are done for NCLEX

Wow, it's a shame they aren't responding. Although, I have had that same issue. Yes, appears it's still up in the air. Not very transparent at all. I wonder what the formula is for "passing" the education component...

Seems no formula ....Probably it will be called " on case to case basis" may be

Yes probably. This whole process is supposed to be fair, equal and transparent. Ha! It's almost a joke, except, we have real lives being affected here!
