2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

NMC usually takes 4-6 weeks to assess your application, you were added in the queue on May. 25 same day they upload your bar coded documents. Hopefully you will here from NMC or get your DL I would say in early July.

Good luck

Hi im under asc as well but i was on queue last may 25. They told me also to wait for 70 working days. Which trust are you in??

You have to ff up every now and then so that you'd be sure they would really work on assessing your papers. That happened to me. I thought I was already on queue back in April as they tagged in my portal that they have already received my documents. So I was expecting my DL to be given soon enough but to my surprise I was just put on queue last Monday, June 4 when I asked them the status of my application. I had to call them aside from bombarding them emails. And it worked, my registration officer said yesterday that she'd prioritize my papers as soon as she gets back to work by Tuesday since she is on leave today until Monday. Hoping I'd get my DL by next week.

Hi mam thank you for your reply.. Ill try to bombard them with emails. I hope you can get your DL soon and please update us also.. Thank you.

Thank you for enlightening me regarding the assessment process. I was a bit confuse regarding the nmc assessment processing time because even though i sent them emails, most of their answers were so generic and it doesnot answer my queries..

hi! anyone here who knows which number should i contact which will directly connect me to overseas registration? My documents will be arriving there tomorrow, and I want to call them once it will be received, so as not to waste anytime waiting.

I agree! I used the same app. It spared me from additional spending and hassle. You just have to be ready with the verification such as stating your Candidate number, complete name, and birthday.
