Hi Guys,
I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?
Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!
Hi everyone! I was put on queue last august 10 and I just got my DL today!! HURRAY! For those who are still waiting for NMC's feedback and it's already been more than 30 days I suggest you email them, I sent them an email earlier today and tonight they responded saying I can now download my DL. Good Luck to all of us :)
Hi guys,I was put on the queue July 3rd and still have not heard back regarding my decision letter. Is anyone else in this same position? Do you have any recommendations for me to speed up this process. I have a job waiting for me in Oxford and planned to move out there by November.
Call the NMC directly to receive updates faster; e-mails usually take a week. I had my cousin in the UK call the NMC every week for updates.

Hi, I was in a similar situation, and I authorised the HR in my trust to cimmunicate with the NMC for me. My situation was that I aready came to the UK with tier 2 visa on the 25th June after submitting all my documents and waiting for my DL. However, some documents went wrong and retified so I was only placed in queue on the 6th July. Then, the HR of my trust helped me in explaining my visa condition. Finally, my application was assessed on the 5th of August and I got feedback from the assessor requesting more documents (self-declaration of traveling history, emplyment history, and 2 official letters from my gp and one of the referees). And I resubmitted thr documents on the 6th, and wrote a lovely mail expressing about my anxiety and concerns about being deported if I couldn't sit my osce in three months after arriving the UK. LUCKILY, I received my DL on th 10th.
Now, I failed my first osce attempt, and am preparing to resit my 2nd attempt.
The NMC is really busy, Id suggest ring them instead for an update and make sure you write down the person's name you speak to.
