Hi Guys,
I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?
Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!
Guys I would like to share my story.I received my DL today and it took them 75days.There was a problem on my declaration of good health since the doctor wrote the date in a wrong format. It should be day first then month and year. So always check before sending. I resent that document alone and it cost me again a fortune. Im very blessed since my assesor is considerate. According to her, when she emailed me on the 60th day, they need to have the completed form uploaded and start all over again. Im very anxious that time since i already waited 60 days and she's telling me that my application will be back to zero( queue) as per nmc rules in reassessing. I literally beg for her to check my application and because I complied immediately, she assessed my application and gave me that precious DL on that same day.
So, just be patient and pray. And dont forget to check the bar coded forms before sending to prevent delay.

Will they just contact you on the 60th calendar day? Not earlier or later? D:
Good day to you guys! I was put on queue on 27 September and haven't heard from them yet. However, I know someone that received the decision letter on 01 November and was on queue 07 September.. we just have to wait guys hehe. Anyway, anyone here bound to Addenbrooke's?
Hi Ebi_nurse. 😊 I'm also an Addenbrooke's candidate here. What's your agency?
Hello everyone. I recently took my IOM xray. Unfortunately, there was a scar/spot that was seen. So I will be having my sputum test tomorrow and the next days. Actually, I have been expecting this because on our annual exam, they have been seeing the scar but since I am cleared by my pulmonologist, they declared me fit to work in our hospital here in the Philippines.
My questions are.
1. If ever I am positive for TB, should I finish the whole treatment regimen before they declare me fit to work?
2. Is it possible to go to UK and have my treatment there and start working already? If yes, what are the steps to be done?
Thank you all for answering. I am a little eager to ease my anxieties because I am a little depressed right now.

Well we got the same case. I already have my COS on hand when I had my tb testing in the IOM but unfortunately, they said that I needed to do the sputum exam. I know someone who had positive sputum culture so even when they said that it will take 9 weeks before the result, they already called her after 4 weeks. I think that is actually the case, they'll immediately call you once there is a growth noted in the culture. On the other hand, I am on my 7th week now and they haven't called me yet so hopefully there will be no growth on my culture until the 9th week.
In relation to your query, unfortunately TB clearance from the IOM is one of the requirements for your visa, therefore it is impossible to go the UK without the said document. Just in case that your sputum exam will be positive ( knock on wood hopefully not) they will call you perhaps after a couple of weeks thus treatment and pulmonologist consultation will be advised. There will be two choices, first, they will monitor you every 2 months (xray and sputum exam which costs 8200 every monitoring) or you will consult your own pulmonologist, undergo the treatment for 6 months then you will go back to the iom for another sputum exam (basically it will take 8 long weeks).
I hope these information helps. Don't be too stressed. I've been in that situation and it is totally stressful (especially the specimen collection part) but then everything will be fine and we'll go to the UK!
