Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
As posted here on the forums before, the police clearance is valid for only 3 months and by the time you'll be assessed it's already expired since it's validity date is only until this January 30, 2017..unfortunately,yes you'll need a new one.
Hi all,I am in the assessment que since jan 12th.currently I am in saudi and I will be leaving saudi by march 10th.My saudi police clearance was taken on october 30 2016...Do I need to get another one.
hi guys. I just want to vent out my frustration regarding my DL. I've been on queue since December 15, 2016 and it has been 42 calendar days (28 working days) and up until now there's even no response nor update whether i have to resubmit any document i submitted. Been following this thread for a long time now and i've read timeline posts of many candidates that they received their DLs less than 30 calendar days (not even working days).
any advice?

not everyone.. it depends. I too am waiting for my DL and I have sent couple of emails to NMC already. Their recent answer was... not everyone has the same time frame and the timeframe will depend on the complexity of the applicant's papers. And they wanna be sure because it's UK registration. i know someone whose papers are not complicated, never transferred school, 1 employer only, perfect grades with masters degree.. got her DL after 2 1/2 months.
So all we can do is to wait. If you're under an agency they can do a follow up on your behalf..

well yeah I guess that's the only choice that we have. The only thing I'm worried about is the police clearance validity which is only 3 months. I had to submit 2 police clearance, 1 from Dubai where I am currently in and 1 from the Philippines which was a major headache to process since I am abroad. Do you have any idea whether I still have to obtain new police clearance if ever they get expired while waiting for my DL? or the 3 months validity only applies before i joined the queue?
Thanks for your response agatoinks! I appreciate it. :)

Not sure but I think... 3 months until you enter the queue. To be certain of the date you were placed on the queue, ring NMC.
update us when you receive your DL. I entered the queue on DEC 29. Hope we all get our DLs soon. GOOD LUCK!

hi raff dont worry we will get it soon, ive been put on queue since dec14, my agent followed up on it and NMC said prolly get the DL by end of this month or early week of february.
and as for the police clearance, once you've been put on queue and the latter was still within the time frame period of 3mos, therefore we dont need to secure a new one. i've asked about this as i have 2 countries which ive had the privilege to practice.
meantime just enjoy the time you have left with your family. and plus its still winter there, trust me it's freezing, you wouldn't enjoy it yet, well its cold all year round anyway except for summer which is still chilly, i think.
update me as soon as you got your DL

Hello all,
I've been browsing for a while and I feel like I have gained a lot of useful info from this thread. I am going to be booking for my CBT and was just curious about a few things.
1. Has anyone taken (and passed) the OSCE? Are there practice courses available? I am really nervous about this portion as I am an OB nurse and have had very minimal general adult/med surg nursing experience.
2. I am working with HCL Permanent recruiters, does anyone have any feedback about them?
3. Anyone based in, or planning to be based in Manchester? My boyfriend lives there so I am only considering positions in Manchester at this time. Feedback about the hospitals there?
Thanks all!
