Nmc registration requirements for a saudi license holder nurse

Published

Hi Nurses,

I am a nurse working in one of the primary health centres in Riyadh region. Now I have started my NMC registration process. I would be really thankful, if any one can tell me the requirements from Saudi council and other verifications from my respective hospital where I am working. I worked in India for 2 years and have been working here since 2012 December. When I registered with SCFHS I had only 2 years experience. So, they gave me registration as nurse technician.Does that matter when I apply to NMC to register as a staff nurse? My experience certificate is staff nurse. Please do help me friends.Awaiting a reply.

Hi. Nurse Technician is just fine. NMC will accept it. I worked at Saudi before and my position was also a Nurse Technician, I think it is almost the same for all nurses who are working or who worked at Saudi. I got my DL last March 17 and what's written in my Certificate of Good Standing from SCFHS is I'm a Nurse Technician. So I'm guessing you don't have to worry about that term, it's fine.

For the requirements that you need from Saudi Council, it would be your Professional Accreditation Certificate - PAC (the gray-colored paper), and your Certificate of Good Standing (you can get it via their website).

The PAC should be uploaded in your portal and it should be translated in English. For the Registration Authority Verification form, you have to give this form to SCFHS office, this should be completed/stamped/dated and mailed to NMC within three months of the issue date.

For my case, I already left Saudi and I don't have anyone who can help me process this verification form, so I asked NMC about this and they told me to just send a blank verification form and attached my Certificate of Good Standing.

But since you are currently at Riyadh, it is best to visit SCFHS and let them sign your forms, so you won't have any problems during your assessment. :)

Thanks a lot jinaa

You're welcome! :) Also, it's a lot better if someone from NMC can give answers to your queries. So, please don't hesitate to contact NMC thru e-mail/phonecall, they are the best people who can answer all questions related to your registration. I hope everything goes well for you, good luck and god bless dear. :)

Thanks a lot jinaa
