NLN Passing Score for Norfolk State University

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone knows which scores on the NLN exam does Norfolk State looks at to determine if you passed? Or does anyone know what is the passiing score or what range you should be in for their nursing program? I just took the preadmission exam today and I'm not sure where I stand. They are only picking 100 students out of the 200 that tested and we will not hear anything until the end of May or early June. I'm just trying to see if I have a chance of gaining admission or do I need to try to gain admission to another program just in case. Any feedback or info would be appreciated on this matter. :)

I had no knowledge of this orientation, but will be attending now. What time on wed? Where did you find that we had this?

It starts at 9am at the student center room 149. I remember receiving a post card in the mail about it several weeks ago but I didn't pay it no mind. I didn't think we had to attend it since we have our own thing we have to attend a week before classes start in August for the nursing program. Something told me to follow up on it just to be certain and she was like all new students including transfers must attend their scheduled orientation.

The main things that you missed was getting your student ID and registering for your nursing classes.

That can be done when meeting up with a counselor after turning all the required material too correc? with the number provided on the packet

Yes you can so really you didn't miss out. Some people just wanted to be first in line with registering for the class sections they wanted. It took almost 3 hours to get registered so you are lucky you didn't have to sit through the wait and stuff.

I don't know where the clinicals are. I figured they would be in Norfolk or VA Beach. I wonder how do we find out.

I have yet to purchase any shoes yet. Where did you get your shoes for clinicals

from?

I have not purchased my shoes either. I will probably get them from the uniform shop we have to order from or I may get them from this other uniform store that is right by my place.
