it makes sense you would not have to take the nclex again if you have proof of passing it but it makes no sense that they would keep your application for ten years afterward. I think you have to expect to apply again, go through credentialing again, background check, everything, because it's been ten years, you could have been in prison for a decade by now! Call again, tell them that you never obtained a license even though you passed the test, that it's been ten years you last applied, and find out what you need to do now. There will absolutely be something you will have to do, and maybe a lot of something before getting that license. good luck!

Hi all. I took and passed my nclex exams for New Jersey Board last Nov 2007 but since I had no ss number, I never got the license. I am immigrating to the US January next year 2017 and I wish to know The process of obtaining NJ license. I called NJ BON n they told me i do not need to retake my nclex. However, I am worried if they would make me go through credential evaluation again and I might be affected by concurrency issue. I have been advised to update my nursing application by submitting another form, fingerprints, etc n ss number on my arrival in the US.any case similar to mine where you reapplied or updated your nursing application? Did anyone get their nursing license after reapplying? Any input would help.. please..
