Hello,
I am currently a nursing student going into my last semester (graduation in December). I recently committed a BIG mistake at my last employer and to make a long story short, I will be charged with a theft third degree felony. I am scheduled to be sentenced in October and I am devastated. I will be on probation for a year (my attorney is trying to lower that to something less or at least until restitution is made).
I am trying to desperately find a GOOD NJ bon attorney that can help me formulate a packet to the BON when the time comes to submit applications to sit for the NCLEX. I know I have a slim chance of getting approved, but I would like to give it the best shot possible.
Please if anyone has been in a similiar situation or can direct me to a good and experienced attorney, I would appreciate it!
thank you..

Moved to nursing license with a criminal history. Per terms of service members may not offer referrals or legal advice.
You may wish to contact the American Association of Nurse Attorneys as they have a lawyer referral service. http://www.taana.org

Look at the link that Beachy provided. Find a lawyer through there, and then follow that lawyer's advice to a T. It's no guarantee that they'll be able to get you licensed, but you'll have a much better chance if you have a lawyer on your side than if you attempted to face the BON alone.
Best of luck.
thank you both so much for the help.
