Hey Everyone,

I am considering starting Nightingale's nursing program, but I'm a little skeptical. Could someone that's completed the program as a California resident give me a run through about what the program entails and how it prepared you to be a nurse? I'm concerned about the lack of clinical time. Thanks for the help!

Hi everyone! I know...2 years later...LOL

But! I'm thinking of applying. I had my first phone call with them and have my second appointment next week. How was your experience overall? Was it hard to get licensed in CA? Just wanting to get all feedback good or bad, just a mom with kiddos trying to get all this done and completed. I've done all my pre-reqs that are required here in CA for RN programs.

It was the best decision of my life.  Graduated end of 2023.  Passed boards 2 months later, easiest process ever.  Landed my first ED role 3 months post grad.  Nightingale is more family oriented than anything else, such a huge support system.  On a side note, there's some traveling but the more prereqs that you are able to transfer over the better, I see that you've done all of the requirements for CA, so that's a plus.  If you can start on some of the bsn requirements that would be even better.  For example, I was able to graduated in 13 months with a bsn because I was already an lvn and I knocked out all of the bsn courses that I could qualify for.

I think you're making a wise choice.  You know some of us don't have the time to sit around and wait on waitlists or be rejected to re-apply over and over!  I was over it.

So again, go for it.  You won't be disappointed as long as you put in the work, you will be rewarded.

Good Luck to you!

xoxo
