Nightingale College - Reviews?

Updated:   Published

Hey Everyone,

I am considering starting Nightingale's nursing program, but I'm a little skeptical. Could someone that's completed the program as a California resident give me a run through about what the program entails and how it prepared you to be a nurse? I'm concerned about the lack of clinical time. Thanks for the help!

Hi,

I am in my final semester starting 05/08/2023.  I can say every class/clinical/etc has been accepted by California (I live in Cali) If you are an independent learner; you'll do fine.  If you need a "class setting" do not register with Nightingale.

Good afternoon. I am about to start BRN program in Nightingale. I am from California, and I am concerned about does Board of Registered Nursing of California accept online courses?

Hi everyone,

I spoke to California's BRN and confirmed with them about Nightingale College. They DO recognize your RN degree from that school. The only difference is that Nightingale does not require you to have Speech (communications) and Microbiology. Those two classes are required in CA. So if you're going to that program, just make sure you complete Speech and Micro to be able to be licensed in CA. I even got the school code for Nightingale from the BRN, it's E9049. If you want to call the CA BRN, just give them that school code and they will confirm that they accept individuals who graduate from that school/program. Hope that clears some confusion!

A lot of students from Nightingale have graduated and got their license. Just make sure you complete the additional requirements as stated above. You will be fine.

Hi,

I'm hoping to sign up to start September 2023 with Nightingale. I wanted to know how many semesters you did your program in? Thank you so much! Your posts have been helpful. I'm also a California applicant.

I graduated 9/22. Took my NLCEX 11/22 and was licensed in CA. The program length depends how many pre reqs you bring in and if your are an LVN you can test out do two clinical classes. You will do all your class work online but travel for clinical once a semester and your preceptorship. I liked the program. I have no complaints. And have already started my masters.

Where is this school located?  I would like to read up on it.  What is the tuition cost?  Are they ACEN or CCNE Accredited?  thank you

They are located in Salt Lake City, UT. Clinical locations are all over the US. The website is https://nightingale.edu/
and yes they are a accredited. I am in a masters program now.
