I have 25 years at the hospital. Out for the last 8 due to illness. Missing the NICU, preemie withdrawal alert! I am desperate to get back, it is my passion, my hobby.
I am in Ontario and overwhelmed with info about reinstatement.
Nothing clearly states 'step 1: contact____' then 'step 2: arrange for ___'
Can anyone PLEASE help me sort this out? How do I begin the process to go back? Who do I talk to, write to, email? How did you find out what conditions you had to meet to go back? Do I have to do a refresher course, clinical hours?
Any guidance and/or shared experiences would be SO appreciated. This is very emotional for me, it is tough. I am afraid of being told 'no you cannot come back it is too late'. NOPE! Gotta think positive!
Nurses are amazing gentle souls but tough as nails, filled with courage, fiercely protective, have sick humour and are highly intelligent! Remember to remind
yourselves of that and compliment a deserving co-worker and make them smile :)

Contact your state BON for your next steps. Good luck!
You Should also look into a refresher course.

Go online and start taking CEU's too. That's what I did. Your BON will ask for this.
