I have been taking care of a 33 weeker with neuroblastoma. Tuesday she was tagged with, let me see if i can get this right, I123MIBG (sorry if I got that wrong) for a MIBG scan. My question is, is this dangerous for those caring for her? I'm breastfeeding and they made a pregnant nurse take a different assignment when she had this wee one. I apologize if this is a dumb question. I just don't have oncology experience. Thanks for any info.

can't answer that one since i never worked with radiation oncology firsthand
However, when I ordered a MUGA for patients to assess pre-tx
would make sure that the nurses got their bloodwork drawn before the patients
got injected.
see no reason to be exposed to anything one doesn't need to be;
your occupational health officer should be able to help you
