We are seeking motivated and compassionate new grad nurses to join our team. We are offering comprehensive personalized training to new grad nurses who want to branch into this rewarding patient care area beginning in mid March for our Spring Fellowship!

3 x 12 hour night shift

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a comprehensive unit licensed for 76 neonatal beds. The NICU provides regional high-risk neonatal services and is designated as a subspecialty level IV newborn service by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the state of Virginia.

This NICU is recognized as a Best Practice Benchmark Site by the Vermont Oxford Neonatal Network for outstanding dedication, commitment and contributions to the care of newborns and their families.” In August 2011 and again in August 2013, the NICU was awarded the Gold Seal of Approval by The Joint Commission as a Center of Excellence in the Care of the Premature Infant.

As the region's only American Academy of Pediatrics Level IV NICU, we serve as a regional resource for the most premature and sick newborns. We are the nationally recognized for the care we provide - we have been ranked for consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report Best Children's Hospitals in Neonatology and were first in the nation to received the Joint Commission's Gold Seal for the Care of the Premature Infants.

Our family-Centered Care Model includes comprehensive and mufti-disciplinary support for the families of our small patients.
