NHSC Loan Repayment 2024 Cycle

Hi everyone,

I didn't see a thread for the 2024 NHSC Loan repayment cycle so I thought I'd start one. I applied for the Spanish supplemental award and was just contacted today to set up the language proficiency test. Has anyone else gotten any updates (credit check etc) ? Good luck to everyone!

Got my congrats email today as well! Start date of contract Aug 30. Btw, Got my coi email on 8/23/24, one credit check on 07/13/24. Tier 1.

Application still saying "accepted award - under final review.” Know of anyone not getting award even if a finalist? Credit pulled 7/12. COI on 8/19. Site score 23. I'm a full time NP in primary care, first time applying. I see other NPs getting there final notification with counter signature already. Getting discouraged 🫤

I only heard under review and no credit check; I am worried as it was the only one I applied to because they had a sentence saying you could only apply to one; found out s/p that it was for the three SUD, NHSC LRP and the other one (cannot recall). Kinda irritated because I am a follow the rules with paperwork and nursing judgement at work so it kinda screwed me over. So main point is I literally have NO backup.

I got my counter signature on 8/26/2024.  I just completed check in verification on 9/9/2024. 
 

Yours  will be coming soon. I'm not sure how they prioritize the award  process...

What happens during the check in?

The form ask you if you were still working at the same  site and that you are and you will be working 40 hours a week. It. didn't ask for any additional documents from  me. Only two questions on there.

Correction: I received my congratulation/counter signature email on August 30 but my start date of my contract is listed as August 26.
