NG Tube Help!! I need Medical advice about NG tube

PEG INFO....

My mom had her CVA 1 year ago and shes been in NGT for long time. Shes already bedridden and both side of her brain was affected thats why she cant even recognized us and do everthing for her. Of course she loose a lot of weight. My concern is....ive been away from my family for almost a year to work here in the states and only my family is the one doing full time taking care of her and i told them that i want to put her on PEG coz being in that NG will traumatized her esophagus and the doctor cannot alternate the tube everytime he changed because theres a resistance on the other side so only one side is the choice.I talked to the doctor since PEG is not common used eventhough its a choice in the Philippines its still depends on the decision of the family. Im the only one who agreed to put her on PEG. The rest of my family disagreed because its a n invasive procedure and the doctor explain the complication unlike in NGTand my mom was so skinny . hope i can enlightened my family.

I need your advise guys...which one is the best in a situation like mine. NGT which doest have any incision procedure or the PEG .
