:monkeydance: Is anyone on the waiting list for the Newport Day Program, if so how how long have you been on it?

RISN...how is nsg V?

ok its good to hear its not TERRIBLE! ive heard nightmare stories where people found it harder than II and failed out. good luck this semester!!

Nursing V is pretty good so far... you go over a lot of the same stuff as nursing !!..just with pedi alterations. the teachers are very nice and kinda "warm and fuzzy" haha. for the first test the average was an 83. the questions were very fair in most students opionions. the class gets split up so half the class starts at hasbro for clinicals and the other half starts at W&I...then we switch mid-semester. Im at hasbro and its great, but you dont get to do as much as with the old people:p...def a different experience:)

ps- i heard that the first test for nursing 1 didnt go so well:(. It's probably that damn computer testing they have going on now. hopefully things get worked out. good luck too all of you!

I thought they did away with the SNAP program? ...Or at least at RI Hospital?

I hear that the SNAP class is still going on ....they are doing nursing IV now, but after this class graduate they will not do it again......As far hospitals participating dont know which ones has there employees enrolled and which ones are in agreement to superivise the clinicals......

Hi,

I am in SNAP IV, I think there is one other SNAP class behind us. It is very fast paced and everyone is overworked including the faculty. It has been a very long road to travel and I think everyone will be glad when it is over. The lecturing is longgggggggg 8 hours straight (w/breaks of course). I did hear something of a "Future Nurses" class, I think they go one 8 hr lecture and 2 clinical days...don't know just what the difference is though. Can't wait till May 7th (IV will be finished). :yeah:

Hi student nurses!

Looking for information on Nsg V....do we have to get pts ahead of time like the other rotations???? Is there 5 hours of work before clinicals?

Thanks,

:yeah:

Can anyone provide any info about the evening part-time nursing program at CCRI-Newport?

Thanks!!

Hello and congrats!

See this thread: https://allnurses.com/forums/f171/tell-me-about-ccri-clinicals-342423-3.html.....I'm sure the CCRI students in there can help you out! :)

Hi Frannasmom! I am also starting in January. I got a packet last Satudary, orientation is Monday December 15th! You should give Deborah Watson a call if you haven't gotten anything yet. Hope to see you there!
