Hi everyone,
I passed my interview two weeks ago, was offered a job. They told me that in NYC it takes a couple of weeks for someone to get in touch with me to get fingerprinted, a few weeks of orientation, then only i can start working. Anyone working as a school nurse in NYC know how the process usually works?
Thanks

Congrats on your new job! I actually applied online with the DOH about a month ago and haven't heard a response yet. How long did it take them to contact you, and do you have any suggestion on how to contact someone to get an interview?
I waited a couple of months before they replied. I think that if you find a school that needs a nurse you can have them write a letter to DOH stating that they are interested in you and that should speed things up
Thanks! I'm actually going to Gotham agency today to work per diem as a school nurse. If you don't mind me asking, where will you be working and how much is the pay and benifits?
The salary is average, but the schedule is great, medical benefits are for the entire family. Where is Gatham Agency and what do they pay?
It's near wall street in Manhattan. They pay around $32 an hour. What hours will u be working?
