Hi everyone,I passed my interview two weeks ago, was offered a job. They told me that in NYC it takes a couple of weeks for someone to get in touch with me to get fingerprinted, a few weeks of orientation, then only i can start working. Anyone working as a school nurse in NYC know how the process usually works?
Thanks
Congrats on your new job! I actually applied online with the DOH about a month ago and haven't heard a response yet. How long did it take them to contact you, and do you have any suggestion on how to contact someone to get an interview?
I waited a couple of months before they replied. I think that if you find a school that needs a nurse you can have them write a letter to DOH stating that they are interested in you and that should speed things up
Thanks! I'm actually going to Gotham agency today to work per diem as a school nurse. If you don't mind me asking, where will you be working and how much is the pay and benifits?
