Finding a job is a good place to start. If you're feeling saucy, you could get your NPI and DEA numbers rolling in the meantime. Just a couple ones off the top of my head...
I have a commitment to the VA for 3 years. So I already will be working but I have been asked to help out in a different clinic so I need to get things moving so I can work while waiting on the Government. A very slow process here
Thank you

I went to a school where one of my final courses involved going through the steps for practice after graduation, and we actually had to do a resume the first week and onward every week with lessons. I am grateful to my school for all this preparation. I got a job soon after graduation, before I took my board exam. My employer is very helpful, and has me turn in evidence of each step accomplished. I cannot start until I have, for example, my NPI and DEA numbers. This is a private hospital system, so I would think the VA would be even more organized with specific requirements for credentialing purposes. I would talk to your credentialing team at the VA.
