hi
I have three children and I am currently enrolled at my local community college. I started with business classes for this past year and switched my major several months ago to nursing. I am going to take the last of what's required for the nursing program this fall. I am starting a CNA program(which only takes a few months) at the same college that will cost around $110 plus book, uniform & supplies(steth & BPcuff), because I figured that would help our family out while I am in nursing school plus it is a pre-req for my community college ADN program. Also, I know that most of the courses for the ADN program besides the actual NURSE I,II,III etc. may be offered online. At my school the courses like Eng 111, Eco 151, Soc 210 etc, are all offered completely online, which would be great for you because with little ones at home you could have all of the extra classes out of the way and by the time your nursing program starts that way you can focus on just the NUR courses.
Good Luck! you can do it!! It's harder with kids and family but doable!!!:redbeathe

Hi,
Okay, I am new to all this. I want to become a Nurse. Ideally, I want to work a job during school day hours as I have three small children who will all be in school full time (8-3), one starting in SEptember, the other two (twins!) in 2-3 years. I don't know where to start! There are so many options! Ideally I would do an online degree program, but I don't know if they are legit and if I can do it with all the family stuff. ANy thoughts, ideas, suggestions, slaps upside my head?? I hope I am not totally out of place here, but I thought I would give it a shot to see if I could get some advice from people who are already on their way to becoming Nurses. Good luck to all of you!
