Newbie starting school

Published

Hello, all! I just found this website and am excited to have people to talk to that understand what I'm going through!

My name is Laurel. I am 40, married, 2 kids (11 and 14) and am starting an LPN program in three weeks.

This is my second career, and I'm excited, but very nervous to begin an entirely new career!

Any advice or helpful hints as I start school is very much appreciated!

:balloons:

:welcome: Good luck to you Laurel.

I am going to be turning 35 on the last day that I am finished with my LPN!!! August 1st can't come soon enough. As far as advice, I have a 5 year old so any studying or homework, I incorporated her time with me by having her do her homework ( so she thought ) while I did mine. You'll get into your own routine. Oh yeah, as far as decent meals- Crock Pots are definetly the way to go!!!!

Good luck to you Laurel. I'm 40 years old and starting LPN school

in August!!! I took a part-time phlebotomy position at a local hospital

to help get my foot in the door for the future.

Thank you--good luck to you, too! I have my orientation on Thursday evening, and start school on June 25. I'm nervous and excited!

Sounds like you have some great experience to get started!
