Thread for NYU Fall 2024 Applicants

Hi everyone, I made this thread so that those who are applying to the NYU ABSN Fall 2024 can ask questions/stay in touch.

Does this mean that they received my high school transcript? It doesn't say "received" like it does for the recommendation letter but both have a check mark.

If you are doing the ABSN program, why did they ask you for your HS transcript? I didn't have to do that.

@Natou This is for regular transfer. Unfortunately they got back to me saying I wasn't eligible for ABSN even though they said I was at first.

they emailed you today about that after you applied?

@starzthatdance

No it was a few days before.

@brightFUTURE00 Are the courses really completely self paced or do they have a deadline where you need to be done with the course by? I'm most likely going to enroll in two online courses this week but I would probably need until July to finish.

Yes, it is self-paced!

You just have 6 months to complete it in total.

For portage you actually have a year to complete once you start the course.

I started a genetics class last August and haven't finished yet but im still enrolled.

@brightFUTURE00 6 months is really good. I was worried it was 3/4 months.

@Ada01 Portage is what I'm thinking of using for nutrition and psych! Whether it's 6 months or a year I'm fine with it.

Has anyone heard anything?

No, maybe Tuesday they'll send us a decision, I've been waiting since January
