New York becomes the newest state to introduce a bill that will allow Nurse Practitioners to practice without a written collaborative agreement with a physician after 3,600 hours of professional practice.

Colorado has the same sort of requirement already. 3,600 required hours of supervision before full autonomy. 1,800 hours gives you provisional prescriptive authority, and the rest of the hours are collaborative 'mentorship' -- this is only for new graduates.
