Whilst doing a bit of research for another project, came upon this listing of New City Hospitals.

What really is amazing is how many clinical settings in NYC has had and lost over the years.
Even more interesting is that many of these hospitals at one time had their own nursing programs.

Well, a lot of the closings were inevitable. The buildings were old and defunct and could never meet the demands of modern medicine. Others, like St. Vincents', are losses that we will feel dearly in the coming years.
