New York BON License Activation

Has anyone had any issues with the NYBON posting their license? 

I passed my NCLEX and the state still hasn't posted my license. Classmates who have taken the NCLEX before and after me have their license posted in about 5 days. I tried calling and they give me the automated response that it takes 4-6 weeks. I've also tried emailing to see if my application is missing any paperwork or documents, no response. Not sure what to do since I need my license for my jobs.

Me too! It's been 6weeks. I haven't tried contacting them tho. But I read that we have to give it like 6-8weeks? And some says 4-6weeks. I don't know. I just know I passed because of the unofficial results. But we need our license number and the certificate. I haven't received mine.

When did you take it?

Hi,

I ended up receiving my license number yesterday! I took my test on January 23rd. I would try reaching out to the education department by email. They were able to give me an update on my application

Oh wow! Yours is fast. What do you mean by you received your license number? Was it through email? Or you mean the License certificate? 
 

I might email them today. I am kind of nervous and worried what might have caused it. I am also confused in emailing them, did you used their contact us form?

I checked this website and saw when my license number was posted by searching my name: https://www.op.nysed.gov/verification-search

And yes! I used the contact us form

Thanks for your replies. I appreciate this since I don't know where and who to ask about this kind of experience.

So, I'm a little confused with their dropdown options for the Contact Us form. Did you click the verify a license? and then it has a question if I'm already licensed in NY. should I just put No?

Oh I see now, I can click the Check status of licensure application, yes? And in the description box, Should I state like how many weeks I have been waiting and I can't see my name on the verifications link?

 
I'm worried I might email them wrong and would affect the progress of my license.

In the email, I mentioned what date I took my NCLEX and that my license still hasn't been posted so I wanted to see what was going on. I had classmates who had took their exam after me and got posted before me. So I thought it was super weird. I don't think there's anything wrong with checking the status. Especially to see if your application is missing anything

I sent the contact us form and hope nothing is wrong with it.

Do you know if there is a case where your unofficial result is PASS but you didn't really pass? that would be so heartbreaking and would sue them for it. LOL

I've never heard of anything like that. If you received a pass result, then it's a pass. So don't freak yourself out!

Thank you! yeah, It's just a crazy thought. That would really turn my whole world upside down. LOL.

I'm literally calming myself down while typing, it's just maybe a backlog or something.
I passed. I passed!! right? HAHAHA. Thank you so much christinaaaax, BSN!

Good luck on your new journey and maybe one day we'll cross paths and laugh this off for having this crazy thought. hahaha

I'll update here when I get my license and see my name online. ?

good day! did you receive your lic number already?and if so, how long did it take? I saw this thread and would like to know how long does it take for NYs BON to post license number after passing the NCLEX exam. Thank you
