Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

Hi to all! :)

I graduated from LPN school in Dec. 2004, got my first job at a chemical dependacy rehab before I took my state boards. I stayed there for a little over a year and then went to an extended care facility. I have never had a mentor and the women at the e.c.f. were a little less than polite. Favorite answer to my questions were, "You'll figure it out." I guess I didn't figure something out quite right...just got FIRED. :sniff:

I have never been written up before, let alone fired. Anyone else have this experience?

Any advice?

What do I do now?

Thanks for any and all help in advance and thanks for letting me reach out.

Specializes in Med-Surg, Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. Best wishes.

Specializes in Rehab, Corrections, LTC, and Detox Nurse.

Did they say why you were being fired. Aside from that you'll find another job. I was fired by a DON that I had clashes with after being at the facility for 4 years. It sucked but I had never taken a vacation while I was there (we had w/e opt) and so i took a week and a half off, then put in applications, and was hired the same day of my first interview. Remember God is incontrol and hindsight has taught me that HIs plan for you was not to be there and he has something else in store for you.
