Hello everyone! I'm so glad I found this place! I love the animation - it's going to take me a while to figure out how to do some of these really cool features!
I am 38 years old and have just been accepted into a 2-year nursing program at a local community college. I am married and have 2 kids, ages 13 and 11. I start my first semester in August. I am excited and nervous to say the least.
I would appreciate any tips and advice on getting through my first semester!

Amblessing,
Hi! I am also new to the board. I am 33 with two children and will begin classes in Aug. also. I would feel better if I also knew what to expect this first semester. They say to expect 300 pages of reading a week, and thats just for the lecture part. Oh well I'm just going to take it one day at a time. Good luck to you!

Welcome!! I am so excited for you. Dont be afraid about the workload, you can do it! I have plenty of great ideas of books you need to buy to augment your studies and others but I dont have time to post them now, I will later. You are about to go through the most exciting two years of your life. I feel like my classmates are all my sisters and I know this experience is something I will always cherish. Congratulations
