I start my nursing program on Aug. 29. I am SO extremely excited! But at the same time I'm a little nervous because I feel like I don't know what I'm about to get myself into. I've heard how hard it is going to be, and I don't feel like I'm prepared to handle it. But at the same time, I know I can do anything. It's just going to take a lot of time management and self-control. I've been playing all summer, and now it's time to get on track. I'm doing the accelerated program at my school, so I'll be going straight for 5 semesters.
I think about how hard it's going to be, but then I think about all the nurses before me that accomplished what they set out to do. I know if they can do it, I can too.
I'm sure there are new student nurses who are just getting started who probably feel the same way I do. It's nice to know I'm not alone.
I'm also starting a new school this year. I transferred from another college, so everything is going to be new to me for a while.
I'm trying to be positive in this whole experience, despite all my fears and anxieties.

I did a five semester accelerated program and did it after moving 3000 miles across country, leaving my family and friends. If I can pull it off, you can too:) No worries. Good luck to you. Stay focused, do well, read and study!

You can make it! I can almost bet everyone around here had those same feelings of wondering how on earth they'd be able to get through it...but somehow, we manage to do so.Hang in there and good luck!

You're definately not the only one who feels that way. I'm in my 2nd week of my first semester of nursing school. I look around at everyone and I know they must feel the same as I do. Many of us are already forming study groups so we can help and support one another.
Best of wishes to you in nursing school!
