I will be starting nursing school in the fall of this year. I'm having a hard time getting information on new grad pay rates in the San Antonio area. Does anyone know?
The latest I have heard from Methodist was 19.50 ish/hr. That was told to me by one of my instructors who heard it from someone else. I guess I'll find out soon enough because I graduate in Decmber.
I graduated in May, and interviewed in many of the healthcare systems here. The low range was $17.50, and the highest I heard was $18.50. The highest was at Methodist. I ended up taking a job with Methodist, since I have worked there for 2 years already as a ICU tech.

San Antonio has an abundant oversupply of nurses in the local job market, which depresses the pay rates. Therefore, the RN pay rates will be quite low.
