New RN grads really think they are Better than LPN's

Published

I am so sick of these 5 minute old RN's thinking they are so much better than me because I'm "only" a LPN. I can run miles around them still wet behind the ears nurses. Lets be clear ladies and gents. Because you have more education through an college setting doesn't make you more educated than me. Experience in nursing is by far more useful in the real nursing world. These are the nurses who can't even hook up suction or use a bedscale!

Wooohooo! Let the age old (and millions times posted debate) begin!

Do you have experience? Yes. Do they? No. Are there things that they can do that you can't? Bet your butt! I'd think it's more this attitude that they thing they are better than. I'm sorry someone hurt your feelings, but as the more seasoned person, you can always model better behavior!

Im sorry something happened. I am not a RN yet(grad in May) but work with an LPN(who is also going back for RN) and she is super knowledgeable and I am learning so much info from her.

I think you have some LPN's who are knowledgeable and some arent...same as with RN's.
