Hi, I graduated this week with my ADN and I really need help with my resume! I work in a hospital already (not clinical) and I did my preceptorship in the SICU at the hospital where I work. I have a cover letter and resume if you all don't mind giving me some advice! Clearly what I'm doing isn't working because I haven't gotten a call back or an interview and I've been applying (at the advice of HR at my hospital) for a month now. Here goes:
**Please not that the fonts/spacing/indentations all appear weird on here because I copy and pasted, on the actual document it all looks normal :) Thanks for your help!!

NAME OF Nursing Supervisor
Hospital Address Dr.

ABC Hospital
Dear SUPERVISOR,
I am interested in the position you have available for a Registered Nurse on MED SURG UNIT. I graduated on May 8, 2013 with an Associates Degree in Nursing from SCHOOL NAME. I enjoyed working with med/surg patients during my clinical rotations, and feel this is the area what I can excel in. I completed my preceptorship in SICU at ABC HOSPITAL this past March and I enjoyed working in the clinical environment at your hospital. In addition to my preceptorship, I have a connection with ABC HOSPITAL in that I currently work there as a JOB TITLE NAME OF DEPT. I have worked there for over three years, and have found that excellent care is provided and the nursing staff in particular, on UNIT APPLYING FOR, creates a positive work environment. For that reason, I would like to join the conscientious team of nurses on your unit.
I look forward to an interview with you to discuss my education and experience. Please contact me at PHONE NUMBER or at the email address above. I have enclosed a copy of my resume with this letter. Thank you for your attention and consideration.
Sincerely,
NAME
