Hi I am going to be new to ortho..

is this the best book to get :

Adult Orthopaedic Nursing by Delores Christina Harmon Schoen ?

Thanks

Sue

haven't heard of that book, but the NAON (National Assoc. of Ortho Nurses) ahs a very good Intro to Ortho Nursing book available for about $60.00 from their website. If you know a NAON member who you could pay for it and reimburse them, you can save about $20.00. We are using this book for our Orientation Readings at my hospital.

Hello. I am new to Ortho in U.S,too.

I am looking for the Ortho reference but I did not find yet

I will check the NAON.

Thank you :wink2:

I am in agreement. The NAON Book is GREAT!! They have a new addition that came out last month.

Never hurts to check eBay though too. I did a quick search and found one with a Buy it Now price of $37.56 with 5.95 shipping. The publication date is 2000 though--not sure if there's a more recent revision or not. I would think it's the most recent, because I couldn't find a more recent one on Amazon or the Barnes and Noble websites.

NAON is the best source for all Orthopaedics.
