New office set up questions.

Published

I am starting a new job as an office nurse for an orthopedic surgeon. This is a new practice, the doctor just relocated from Fla. He has asked me to come up with a list of office supplies we will need to start out. I have a lot of the usual things like gauze, syringes, bandages, etc. Anyone have experience starting out with a new practice who could give me an idea of some supplies that I might need that may not come to mind at first? The supplies I am speaking of will be mostly general medical supplies, but especially some specific to orthopedics. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

staple removal kits, suture removal kits, splints of various kinds for various body parts, braces, ice packs, Ace wrap, mole skin (is that how that's spelled?), wound care products, general medical supplies like thermometer, BP cuff, stethescope. I'm sure there's more.

Thanks for the help guys. I have made a list w/ all of the supplies you mentioned.
