hello,
i hope i'm posting this in the right thread.well i am really excited because i got accepted into nursing school yay!!!:yeah:but i am also i little bit scared. i have been researching and i have found that a lot of people think nursing school is very hard and that kind of scares me. for the fall i will be taking pathophysiology, foundations of nursing, political science(my last prerequisite!) and pharmacology.i wanted to hear some good tips in how to study for this classeshow did you study for this classes??( i have always been very independent, but many people have told me that i should start studying in groups because it will be helpful, what do you think?) , what should i expect from this classes? how to balance social life/school? i also have the option of taking pharma and patho online, do you think is better to have on campus education?....
i have so many questions but thats it for now...
i am really excited and ready to start this journey!
i hope you can help me!
thanks,
new nursing student
Congratulations once again. I also was accepted into the bachelors program at my school for the Fall. I have the summer off and I've just been working, brushing up on A&P, micro, and a lil chem so that I'll be refreshed and ready to go for Pharmcology in the fall. I'm also going to have Foundations of Nursing practice, Nutrition and Healthcare, and nursing technology(elect.) I work at the library on campus and when the Fall semester starts I'm only going to work 3 days 5 hours each and that will be between my classes so I'll have plenty of time to study working only 15 hours a week. I've actually already made my fall schedule, with my classes, work, and study times. Thankfully I'm able to make my own work schedule and they don't give me times that I have to work. I made my schedule where I can study up to at least 50 hrs a week, but to be realistic I probably won't need that much study time, but it's there if i can. It's going to be interesting b/c I have a twin and we both made it in the program so most likely she'll be my study buddy. I'm so excited, I'm not studying and workin to hard though, b/c my fam is going on vacation in july can't wait. Good Blessings everyone!:)

For everyone that suggested doing summer school. That is a good idea, if it is allowed. My school however, doesn't allow us to take nursing courses out of sequence so I can't take pharm or patho ahead of time.
